-Goes good with lots of potato or pasta dishes

-Also works well with skewered shrimp, just cut down the grilling time.
Porch Party Meatloaf
Courtesy of: Sherrie Brown
I love using Pennacook Pepper’s Pepper Jelly for my meatloaf. You won’t be able to get enough of it. This is the recipe I used:
1 ½ lbs. Ground hamburger
1 Large Egg
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. Pennacook Pepper’s Pepper Jelly
1 ½ cups of bread crumbs.
1/8 tsp. Pennacook Pepper’s Pepper Powder
1 tsp. Minced garlic (optional)
½ Onion, chopped (optional)
3 strips of cooked and chopped bacon (optional)
1/3 cup cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 F. In a bowl whisk egg, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper jelly. Combine all ingredients in a larger bowl. Use your hands to mix it up well. Add more bread crumbs, if needed. Transfer to a loaf pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes, until meatloaf is cooked in the center.
The last 4 ingredients aren’t needed but every meal tastes better with bacon, cheese, onion, and garlic.

A Most Refreshing Summer Porch Party Beverage
-1/4 tsp Purely Pepper Powder
-2L Iced Tea
-2L Fresca, Ginger Ale, or carbonated soft drink
-If making iced tea from scratch, follow package directions.
-When it’s time to add the teabags, also add ¼ tsp Purely Pepper Powder, in a tea ball, to the hot liquid.
-Let seep for 1 hour.
-If using iced tea which is already made, add ¼ tsp Purely Pepper Powder, in a tea ball, to the liquid.
-Cool & Allow to stand overnight.
-Mix equal parts of chilled ‘Spiced Tea’ with chilled Fresca.
-As an alternative, try a diet ginger ale, in-place of the Fresca. The pepper really makes the ginger sing. We’ve also used Sun Drop in-place of Fresca, for a wonderful warm weather combination.
-We think our Most Refreshing Summer Beverage is wonderful all by itself, however it makes a wonderful spritzer for a red wine, or fruit drink.
